West Bengal post-poll violence: NHRC orders probe by fact-finding crew

Taking suo-motu cognisance of the reported post-poll violence in West Bengal, the Nationwide Human Rights Fee (NHRC) on Tuesday ordered to represent and ship a fact-finding crew to the state for on-the-spot investigation into the matter.    

In its order, the NHRC mentioned, “Contemplating as a match case of alleged violation of Proper to Lifetime of the harmless residents, the Fee has in the present day taken suo-motu cognisance of the matter and has requested its DIG (Investigation) to represent a crew of the officers of the Investigation Division of the Fee to conduct an on-the-spot truth discovering investigation and to submit a report on the earliest, ideally inside two weeks.”

In its order, the Fee mentioned the political staff allegedly clashed with one another, get together places of work have been torched down and a few houses have been ransacked and valuables additionally looted.
